Washington apple martini wednesday?
is that a thing? can it be? can we make it one? HOW DO YOU FEEL?
I'm all about it, if you couldn't tell.
Washington apple martinis are my fave. my fave fave. I used to be restricted to drinking them out at swanky bars, where they cost me an arm and a leg, and at that point its like HOW DO I DRINK THIS WITH NO ARM? and where is my leg?
probably off somewhere with my brain? and my wallet…
enter: Crown Royal Regal Apple.
I know you were scared it was empty… don't worry I stock up. as should you. it's wonderful. and totally a staple in my bar now.
my bar. i'm a grown up. and totally not giggling to myself.
wanna know my second secret weapon?
my momma.
yuppp. she's my go-to when I'm trying to remember a recipe or when I just need a drink. because let's face it, we all have those days.
and she makes a mean drink… or a nice drink? why am I still talking?
the problem with this lovely lady? SHE NEVER MEASURES HER DRINKS. so she'll be like “oh yeah um i put more of this than this and maybe this sounds right for this?” I'm like LADY REALLY?! oy vey.
but it's okay because I'm ALLLLL for recipe testing. and so is this guy:
I'd be like PRETEND TO TAKE A SIP NOW. and he's all like “OKAY.” and then when i look down at the camera he gulps away. ridiculous. he's not allowed to help recipe test anymore.
he's going to veto that one, i can feel it.
a couple quick notes and tid-bits to help you along the way:
the recipe can be easily multiplied, but if you're making a martini for one person 1 part = 1 oz
& if you don't have crown apple totally sub straight crown, same goes for snapple apple – just sub more cran in its place!
got it? okay cool! let's go make some martinis because it's washington apple martini Wednesday!
