can we all agree that Applebee's honey mustard is THE BEST honey mustard? because it totally is. you know what's even better than Applebee's honey mustard?
….
when you make it at home with fresh ingredients and you know EXACTLY what's in it. yes.
when i first learned that you can MAKE honey mustard it was an epiphany similar to the starfighters story and the fry sauce story. my best friend just casually whipped some up on the fly… WHAT even is life? i've never been the same ever since.
for the record, i highly recommend making this with homemade mayo and serving it along with french fries and everything pigs in blanket. (speaking from experience over here.)
i also recommend those things SPECIFICALLY for your superbowl menu. you're welcome. (p.s. its coming up!!)
aside from using homemade mayo, i also reallyyyyy recommend using local honey. Mine is from central park!! how cool is that? it doesn't get much more local.
(another P.S. it's my one year moving to new york anniversary!! i've OFFICIALLY been a new yorker for a year. crazyyyy)
(also, happy birthday theresa!)
i can't get over that situation^
is a honey bath a thing?
can it be? puhhhhlease? fine.
also, i used a couple types of mustard and the combo is phenomenal. please, please, please don't just go with one or the other (but if you do, go dijon).
i know, i KNOW. you're like how is this different from my spicy mustard pretzel dip and how many mustard dressing/dip recipes can she create?
don't challenge me.
they're SO so different. a) this one's sweet and the other one's tart and spicy b) this one has like two ingredients… or five. c) … have i mentioned the sweet vs. spicy?
did you guys know that frankie loves honey mustard?
dude loves his condiments. loves them. but he was really into this honey mustard… although he acted like he didn't get the big deal about Applebee's honey mustard. how are we dating??
i promise over the next few weeks i have real recipes and not dips that i serve with french fries.
i PROMISE.
but for real, make this honey mustard. ya dig?
